About the Purbeck Gun Club
The Purbeck Gun Club was founded in 1977 by our chairman Mr Graham Baume. The club started as a pistol shooting club and shared its range with the now defunct Rifle Club in Swanage, Dorset.
Following the handgun ban in 1997 many of the members moved to target shooting using .22 rimfire rifles and the club now offers competitions between the members for both rimfire and air rifle shooters.
In late 2011 after losing our indoor range, the club changed to a "roving club" and we rent various ranges from other Dorset gun clubs.
